a last conversation with my cat
It’s Christmas Day and Nasima’s apartment building is burning down. Instead of seeking refuge out in the snowfall, Nasima races up the stairs without a second thought. Risking her life is an easy choice, for her beloved cat is trapped inside the apartment. Yet once Nasima finds him, there's a new problem. He doesn’t want to come out, and Nasima will not leave without him…

this is a cute vn but why would i listen to a cat that doesn't practice what he preaches
i wanted to stay with the cat -_- this needs alternate paths
thank you for your feedback! :) definitely agree this would be much improved with multiple endings - will make sure I do that next time ;P
I'm crying right now :'D
AAAAHHH this made me cryy :,( i went and hugged my cat
awieee give your cat a big hug from me! <33
i will :D
Oh Jad, you are so wise and have such beautiful ears! This game felt like a lovely homage to the treasured (if fleeting) bonds we have with our dear animal friends! <3
we really are blessed to live alongside such wonderful animals •ᴗ• and tysm, i'm glad you enjoyed the game! ♡
It's a nice little story. I enjoyed it, although I don't understand why Jad didn't want to come along or Nasima wouldn't' simply grab him.
Edit: Props for having a Mac version. I can verify that it works on the newer Apple Silicon machines.
thank you for your thoughts! it's true it seems strange to leave him; but as a very old cat he was ready to go, and it was important for Nasima to move onto the next chapter of her life, through her own will and independence <3
Now that you explained it, it seems logical. I look forward to your next projects :)
It is a simple story, moving despite its simplicity, perhaps because its theme (depression, the meaning of life) lends itself to it. I think we have all felt at some point like its protagonist, and that is why it also resonates with us.
I think it missed an opportunity to offer more than one ending depending on the decisions made (for example, something as simple as changing the dialogue depending on the song chosen at the end would increase replayability).
In any case, it is a simple and beautiful story that has left a pleasant impression on me.
thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback!! i definitely agree that the story could benefit from multiple endings, and i'm glad that you were able to connect with the protagonist and story! <3
